We paint our School!
It's finally here again!
We paint the amphitheater and the toilet house!
Headmaster Raja Sekhar has come up with something very special for our 14th project week (March 14th - 19th)!
Other activities are
Establishment of seating from natural stones and protective painting of the fruit tree trunks and as well
Painting and handicrafts for the younger ones.
Painting of the amphitheater from the inside
Project weeks are very popular with teachers and students. In addition to the one-week main project week, we carry out two to three mini project weeks (3 days) per school year.
Activities take place in project work in mixed-age, family-like groups. Since the painting work requires more developed motoric skills, the groups are more homogeneous this time.
The Brahmasthaanam, the energetic center on the area (created by Botida on our premises in 2013) will be cleaned and scrubbed to get a new coat of paint soon; Headmaster Raja Sekhar lends a hand.
Brahmasthaanam
All are active within the project week; our 'water ladies' Suguna, Mereena and Lakshmidevi, Coordinator Ramesh and Technical Director Chandra Mohan work closely with the teachers to guide and support the children. Everyone enjoys their work - beautifying and improving the school grounds is a stimulating and exciting task.
Protective painting of the trees against pests
The little ones create an impressive variety of art works with hands and feet and above all with myriads of colors.
Kinder Garden children at work
In between there are refreshments for young and old, very important in view of the rising heat of almost 40 degrees. In recent years, the shortened summer timetable (school timings from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) has been in effect since March; but this school year it was 'postponed' to April by the government of Andhra Pradesh...

During the presentation of the results of this memorable project week, I was able to enjoy the shade of a tree on a new natural seat of stones, surrounded by a group of children. They had inserted earth and clay into the spaces between the stones and thereby increased the seating comfort considerably. We now have a number of places to sit on the premises, which parents also like to use.
With cordial greetings,
Helga Shanti Fruendt
